Large aperture with high sensitivity

The aquarium is generally built in the indoor, the light is supplied by the lighting system, and the brightness is relatively dark. If conditions permit, use a large aperture lens as far as possible to maximize the amount of light. Some digital SLR cameras have good imaging quality under high sensitivity. If adopted, the shutter speed can be improved more effectively and the wonderful moment of fish swimming can be captured.

Shutter priority

The fish in the pavilion are constantly swimming, which, combined with the low light, can easily blur the picture. To solve this problem, on the one hand, you can use the maximum aperture shooting, and at the same time, you need to improve the ISO sensitivity to meet the shutter speed requirements. We can choose some relatively static fish shooting, such as fish swimming motion is not big, can use 1/50 seconds of speed shooting. In order to put more energy into the composition, the shooting mode can be set as shutter priority in advance, and the speed can be fixed at 1/50 seconds. If fish swim faster, the shutter speed can be increased accordingly. When shooting in this mode, the sensitivity is best set to auto.

Use flash light with caution

The sightseeing curtain wall of the Aquarium is composed of several layers of thick glass. If you use flash to shoot through the glass, there will be obvious light spots on the picture, which will directly affect the effect. Therefore, it is necessary to turn off the flash when shooting. If it is necessary to use flash light, the lens should be close to the glass curtain wall. If condition permits, had better use black cloth to stick the glass around lens package close, can avoid effectively so from the light spot that reflects light on the glass enters picture.

Close-up and upshot

In the Ocean Park, some aquariums will be planted with coral and set the scene like a real underwater world. At this time, you can choose the beautiful coral as the background, with the fishes as the main body to shoot. The coral is also often hiding a variety of small fish, will from time to time to look out, this is a rare moment. Of course, feature is also a good choice. At some of the larger aquariums, visitors can view the entire underwater world from the bottom up, looking up at individual or group fish as subjects. If you can choose clean and clean water as the background, the picture will be more like diving photography perfect.

Apply manual exposure

Since the aquarium landscape is illuminated by artificial light, workers will choose the most beautiful view when installing spotlights, so the light in the aquarium is not uniform. So whether we're photographing coral or individual fish, it's best to use the point metering system to measure the subject's light as a basis for exposure. If you are shooting from the same spot in the aquarium for a long time, you can also set the shooting mode to "M" (i.e., all manual exposure modes), and then set the aperture and shutter according to the measured data. You can shoot with the focus composition at will, without having to re-measure the light every time.

Adjust white balance flexibly

Aquariums have different lighting. Generally, you just need to set the white balance to auto. If the light is dim and warm, you can try to adjust the white balance to the tungsten lamp mode. After the adjustment, you should take several shots first, then watch the effect directly on the camera display, and then continue to shoot after confirmation. In some aquariums, the lighting system will constantly change colors. In this case, it's best to wait until the colors are relatively light before shooting, otherwise it will be difficult to make the correct adjustments during post processing
