In general, the best time to take pictures of scenery is an hour after sunrise or before sunset, which is the "golden time". Scenery in the changeful sun at this time will be very attractive, and full of change. However, if you want to wait for prime time in the mountains, you may be completely missed it or you will find the effects will not be as magic. Therefore, hiking in the mountains to shoot, don't waste your time to wait for "golden time".
2. Using the gradient ash filter

Use Stan DE Z series square filter, you can balance the sky and ground scenery of exposure, and get more wonderful pictures.

However, the result is likely to generate the shadow of the trees or other objects on the ground. It's not easy to avoid this unnatural shadow, you can arrange the composition beside the lake or stream.

When you climb the mountain, it is likely to see a spectacular panoramic views open picture. But no matter how hard you try, it's hard to take beautiful photos.
