1.How to take camera.

In street photography, canvas prints speed is the key, how you take the opportunity to produce a completely different result. I like to wear my camera strap around my wrist instead of hanging it around my neck. This allows the camera to be manipulated faster and easier, and it is easy to shoot from the waist when necessary. When I walk down the street, I usually put my camera at a 45-degree Angle in front of me, in the middle of the vertical and horizontal direction, and my finger will be on the shutter. In this way, I can quickly raise my camera in place and start shooting before others react.

2.Shoot from the waist.

Unless you have a small side-axis camera, canvas prints online australia won't be noticed unless you have to raise your camera and take a shot.

The advantage of taking the camera around your wrist and taking it from your waist is that you don't have to take the scene in front of you, and you can shoot it right next to it. No one will pay attention to your lens. From the waist, you can hold the camera with both hands and a single hand, but one hand can give you more freedom in the direction of shooting. Simply drop your arms around and then lift the camera to the right Angle toward the direction you want to take. You can also raise your arms or bend your elbows, but be careful when doing so.

3. Use wide-angle fixed lens.

I like the 35mm (aps-c frame is 20mm) lens. When you're shooting from the waist, you can't get the view from the viewfinder. A fixed focus lens allows you to anticipate what you're going to see, and with a little practice, you'll be able to master it. Wide Angle lenses allow you to get close enough to capture enough scenes to see what happens on the scene.

4. Low and slightly tilted Angle.

Another benefit of shooting from the waist is that people can be photographed from a lower location. I often like to shoot from a low point, because it can be very high and full of images. This is certainly not a 100 per cent test, but in most cases it is my preference.

This slightly tilting Angle is also very flattering, especially when the portrait is portrait. This Angle increases the intensity of the photo and allows for more scenes. Such pictures can catch the eyes of the audience.

5.Be an actor (don't make eye contact)

Acting as a street photographer will do you a lot of good. You can play as a traveler, watching what was happening in the street, or a lost person, must stop looking for direction, is can't be a recognizable as looking for opportunities to take pictures.

I like to play the role of a daydreamer, separating myself from the environment and paying attention to the things that are going to be filmed. I would walk up and down the place where I was going to shoot, and then stop and pretend to think or see something interesting. When I'm ready to shoot, I tilt my body toward the other person, aim the camera at each other, then press the shutter button to take a few shots, and then walk away as if nothing had happened.

Most importantly, don't look directly at the person you're preparing to shoot. God forbid eye contact! Eye contact will make others notice you immediately. Even in a moment, it will ruin your disguise.

6.Be ready to change your camera Settings quickly.

I usually use manual mode, because I like to set the exposure before taking photos. You can't accurately estimate the results of a photo when you're near the shoot, and the results of automatic exposure are often bad. Manual shooting can sometimes go wrong, because if you suddenly get into the shadows from the sun, make sure you change the Settings. I will remember the two sets of Settings in the sun and shadow, switching between them quickly.

But what if there is an emergency? You are walking in the sun, for example, set up a perfect exposure, and then suddenly found at your right hand has a pair of locksmith sitting in a very dark in the car, a person sleep upside down, the other one is cigarette (pictured above), how to do? It all happened in a flash! I quickly switched the camera to the aperture priority mode and had already set up a large aperture. Although some depth of field may be lost, the large aperture can accommodate more scenes and provide sufficient shutter speed. Additional shutter priority is also effective.

7.Establish your background beforehand.

The topic is a little beyond the scope of today's discussion, but there are countless ways to do it. Find an interesting background and wait for the right person to enter your scene. Be patient. It may take a long time. This method allows you to get to the right location in advance, so you are fully prepared for the shot. It's like taking this background picture. Some of the best street photographers use this method to find a good location and wait.

8. Virtual, granular and black-and-white photos.

This photo, I want to the "' lads' Mags' including NUTS (NUTS) street food focus," moral "NUTS" letters to this a few visitors are debating, this means that cannot keep people clear enough in the foreground. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. I think OK for this picture -- in black and white. As a street photographer, I'm not worried about the fuzziness and the particles. The truth is that many scenes are not bright enough, but you need enough shutter speed and you can't afford to use tripods in luxury, so it's common to have blurry, slight defocus and high sensitivity. Some of the bad color photos are great when converted to black and white. In short, the street photographer captures the moment, and the black-and-white images are often more appropriate.

9.Fill your body with images.

I shoot across the street photographer is most critical, sometimes see picture of the subject is very interesting, but the photographer chose to shoot a whole streets are entered, the result was the occupied the main picture into a very small part of something. Let the important things fill the picture, cut out the others, and leave room for the audience to imagine.

Of course, using a fixed focus lens and the subject is moving quickly, you can't always find the perfect location. Don't be afraid to cut photos later. This is not landscape photography, and you are not allowed to plan all aspects of the photograph in advance. You should get used to cutting tools, print large photos even if only for minor corrections.
