Avoid blurring when taking photos

When taking long exposure photos, many students will also find the photos a little blurry, especially when viewing in larger view. In fact, we can use some skills to make the photos sharper, and these skills are also used by many professional photographers.

1.The tripod is very important

Just learn a lot of students, especially beginners, is severely underestimated the importance of the tripod, thought tripod just a can, so stores often use to buy a camera attached to the tripod, in fact, the tripod is very important equipment in many photographic equipment, absolutely cannot be taken lightly, or use poor quality products. So how do you choose a good tripod? In general, for a DSLR or Mirror less camera, the most important thing is:

Tripod does not rise when the height of the axis: it is best to reach the neck, plus the head and camera will be just close to the eye;

The locking force of the holder: in fact, to stabilize the camera, the most important thing is whether the holder has enough locking force. If the holder is not strong enough, it will easily move.

Whether it is reasonably light: in fact, the heavier the tripod is more stable, but the heavier the tripod is more difficult to carry, which greatly increases the photographer's burden. Therefore, there should be a trade-off between stability and lightness. Now carbon fiber tripod is very popular.

A high-quality tripod can be used for many years, and each use will enjoy the advantages, so the tripod is very worthy of investment equipment ah! Our tutor has compared various tripods and platforms on the market in Hong Kong, and has chosen a recommended tripod combination; you may as well go to our "tutor recommended equipment catalogue" for reference and purchase!

(2) Use Mirror lock-up

Many mid-to-high DSLR cameras will also have a "Mirror lock-up" feature that allows your camera to raise the reflector before opening the express door, eliminating the shock of mechanical movement and effectively sharpening your images.

The open button of Mirror lockup may be different for each machine, and it may need to be set in Menu. Please pay attention.

(3) Use the shutter release or 2-second sulfide function

The moment of pressing the shutter may make the camera move, which is also the reason why many novice students take blurry photos when long exposure. In fact, the problem is easy to solve, just use the shutter release, or use the 2-second countdown sulfide function of the camera. Although it takes a little more time, it can be more effective to avoid vibration!

(4) Choose the focus and aperture carefully

Another reason for the lack of sharpness is the effect on focus and depth of field! The focus we need to be careful to choose should focus on the main body, and in the choice we also want to consider the problem of "depth", if you want the whole picture is clear sharp, in general it is best to use the smaller aperture, such as f / 8 to 11, so the depth of field can effectively control, pay attention to the longer the focal length, depth of field will be more shallow, so when using ultra wide Angle lens, aperture size to decrease the influence of the depth of field, such as using the wide-angle lens star photos we will enlarge the aperture, take photo does not become blurred.

(5) Move the subject carefully

The author also tried tripod is very stable, the aperture is small, and also USES the shutter release to shoot, but the photo is always blurry, because the subject itself is moving! Therefore, remember to observe the subject when shooting. If you can move (such as a boat), increase the shutter speed, or avoid using long exposure to shoot!

Even using a tripod, long exposure when the main moving will also make the photo fuzzy, must pay attention!

(6) Turn off the anti-vibration function

Many lenses and cameras are also shockproof, but some of the older ones did not know if the autopsy camera was on a tripod, leading to a system that was constantly working, which in turn made the picture very blurry! So you'd better test whether your camera's shockproof feature will have the same problem when using a tripod, or just turn it off on long exposure!
