6 things need to be cared about when shooting a portrait
When it comes to portrait photography, canvas print what do you most care about? Here's a list of six important things for your reference.
1.Timing
When I can capture a decisive moment in a character's expression or action, I say Timing is right. The decisive moment doesn't mean accident, you can expect it to appear under certain conditions, and then you prepare everything else and press the shutter while triggering it.
2.Eyes
From contact portrait photography to now I think eyes are like a ring, cannot be ignored in representative to communicate with the audience's eyes, his eyes are much more subtle details of the light can, to take to look to the other end of the photographs is the most ideal, plus I use most often 50 mm focal length, filming the scene when add the visual sense in life.
3. Color
To convey a photograph of the atmosphere will be affected by color, so if you want to take pictures of the atmosphere, bright, colorful, warm color will be more direct than low saturation, monotonous, partial cool color, when you plan after good body which should be in color, to the scene to avoid even eliminate all interference, extra color objects. That's why some photos look good and some look a little cheesy. If you want to get people to start praising your photos, it's a straightforward and effective choice to start with color.
4. Light
The same location, the same character, can be downbeat or backlight, the feeling is completely different. If possible, I would prefer backlighting, so that the details of the character's skin can be modified, and the image will have an "extra layer" between the character and the surface of the picture because of the lens' light.
There is nothing wrong with a direct light shot, which can be used to increase the depth of the image, but be careful if the light hits the side of your face that is close to the lens.
5. Theme
Most of the time, there's no need to pose like a model. After all, we want to shoot people, not to emphasize a particular commodity. An experienced model with too much pose and unnecessary cross-dressing sounds like a racquet to me, but what do you want to sell? If we don't want to sell something, we can actually focus more on the subject. If you spend two or three hours shooting a person, and you don't know anything about the other person, it's hard to dig deeper into the subject.
6. Background selection
Background selection is also important in portrait photography. A big difference between a tourist photo and a quality photo is the background. First, choose the background related to the theme of the shooting, and second, consider color matching, color effect and so on.
Some people think it is ok to use large aperture to blur the background when the environment is disordered. In fact, works that rely too much on big aperture are not durable to watch. Therefore, the background selection must be subtraction to remove unnecessary elements, highlight the subject or theme of the photo, and retain relevant elements and colors, especially in the messy private rooms in the indoor environment. Otherwise, a disorganized or color - mixing background will definitely compromise your photo quality.
