Lens selection
Whether you use wide Angle, medium distance or telephoto, you can shoot flowers with different effects, canvas printing australia but if you have the following lenses and accessories, please bring them with you. Telephoto lenses: lenses like 70-200mm, 100-400mm, etc., used to eliminate cluttered backgrounds and facilitate composition; Macro lens: it is used when shooting close-up of flowers. The recommended focal length is 100mm.
Close-up loop or tube: if you don't have a macro lens or telephoto lens, you can also buy a close-up loop or tube. If you're shooting outdoors, flash and tripods aren't necessary, wooden frames for canvas paintings but you can use them to create your own work. You can also bring a reflector if you need it. Camera options, the camera is not much of a concern, even a phone or small DC can take beautiful photos, but of course DSLR can let you have better control.
(2)control your depth of field
When shooting, we may enlarge the flowers. Please pay attention to your depth of field. If the depth of field is too low, a small part of the flowers will be clear and the rest will fall outside the depth of field, leading to blurring. Keep in mind that a large aperture is what will lead to a shallow depth of field (also the focal length and the distance to the background, see this for details), so if you find that the flowers are only clear in the middle, please turn down a smaller aperture.
(3)Watch out for the breeze!
Especially in outdoor shooting, in addition to our own stability, we must also be careful that the breeze makes the flowers move, leading to the problem of blurred photos. Note that your shutter speed should not be too slow. If possible, use shutter prerequisite or manual mode to ensure that the shutter speed stays above 1/100s-1/250s. If necessary, please upgrade the ISO. If you are holding a telephoto lens, be sure to pay attention to the "safety shutter" to avoid shaking your hand. But you can also try slowing down the shutter, let the flowers move slightly in the wind, you will find that the photos taken will become very dreamy!
(4) Be careful that white and yellow flowers influence metering and lead to insufficient exposure
If you are using aperture or shutter priority precedent semi-automatic mode, please pay attention to when you take white flowers, camera metering opportunity misjudgment, lead to the shortage of exposure, you should according to the following formula to revise before we taught EV: "in the light to light (add), in the dark, dark" (minus), so you want to compensate for underexposure + EV.
(5) Watch out for details of red flowers
Be careful not to overexpose a red flower to lose detail or to oversaturate it.
(6) Set white balance to avoid affecting the color of flowers
When you shoot in the morning, sunset and other light colors change greatly, we can choose whether to choose the white balance by ourselves to correct the color of flowers. If you do not set the white balance, you may lose the warm color when shooting flowers at sunset. In addition, the color of flowers can also be fully restored through self-designed white balance. (7) Use CPL polarizer to remove reflections
When the light is good, the flowers may reflect light, making the contrast of the photo insufficient. At this time, you can try to add CPL polarizer to remove the reflection of flowers and leaves, and improve contrast and saturation.
(8) Make good use of soft light, side light and back light to avoid noon shooting
Light is very important for flowers, it's best to actually have clouds on the day, forming a natural soft light box, or just after sunrise or shortly after sunset, when the light is soft, it's easy to take beautiful flower photos. When the sun is overhead at noon, or the sun is very strong, we should avoid shooting at these times. After sunrise and sunset, the shadow will become a side light, when flowers and shadows can take a dramatic effect; and backlight, that is, the camera toward the sun shooting, can be flowers, leaves and other textures clearly presented, is another common shooting method.
(9) Shoot at the flower level
When photographing flowers, please lower your height and shoot at the level of flowers, so that you can enter the world of flowers. Sometimes, the camera will stick to the ground and shoot upward, making people feel as if they are placed in the flowers and shooting a special perspective effect.
(10) Shoot close-up of flowers and insects
Don't shoot the whole flower! Try using a macro or telephoto lens to capture a small part of a flower, such as its core, petals, etc. Or add bee, butterfly and so on common insect, also can have the effect of ornament.

Do not shoot a lot of flowers greedily (of course, sometimes you also can), had better be to find out the most beautiful in the flowers, the most characteristic one or two, use long focal length and bigger aperture to shoot, such setting can become blurred because of shallow depth of field, let leading role flower more outstanding at the photograph, avoid to suffer mixed and disorderly setting to affect.
(12) Choose a background with high contrast
Although the shallow depth of field we used can remove the clutter of the background, we can also pay close attention to the color of the background and try to find a background that is clearly contrasted with the flowers (for example, the red flowers on the border color background), so that the flowers can be more prominent!
(13) Use a variety of composition methods
In addition to the most basic golden section, filling composition, diagonal, s-shaped composition, we can also make good use of the "frame" to shoot.
